It is also considered to be a digestive aid and to help lower blood sugar levels. Difficulty Digesting Dairy? Try Drinking Non-Homogenized Milk

May 24, 2023

It can be difficult to find a milk alternative for people who have trouble digesting dairy, but non-homogenized milk can be a good option for people who still want to enjoy dairy without the digestive discomfort.

Non-homogenized milk is milk that has not undergone the homogenization process, which is a mechanical process that breaks up the fat in the milk into smaller particles so that they remain evenly dispersed in the milk. Homogenized milk has a consistent, smooth texture and appearance, but non-homogenized milk separates into cream and milk layers, along with chunks of fat.

Non-homogenized milk is can be easier to digest than homogenized milk. For people with dairy digestion issues, this can be very beneficial. The reason it is easier to digest is because the non-homogenized milk is not broken down into as small particles as it is in the homogenized milk. The fat particles in non-homogenized milk are bigger and more easily digested, which is what reduces the digestive discomfor...

Add this to Your Cooking to Ease Digestion

Feb 21, 2023

Asafoetida is a resinous gum derived from the roots of the Ferula plant. It has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic and Middle Eastern medicine as a digestive aid. Here are some ways in which asafoetida may help with digestion:

  1. Relieves flatulence: Asafoetida has anti flatulent properties, which means that it can help relieve gas and bloating. It contains compounds that help to break down complex carbohydrates and reduce the production of gas in the gut.

  2. Stimulates digestive enzymes: Asafoetida stimulates the production of digestive enzymes such as amylase, lipase, and protease. These enzymes help to break down food into smaller molecules that can be easily absorbed by the body.

  3. Anti-inflammatory properties: Asafoetida has anti-inflammatory properties that can help to reduce inflammation in the gut. Inflammation can interfere with digestion and cause discomfort.

  4. Anti-spasmodic properties: Asafoetida has anti-spasmodic properties that can help to relax the smooth mu

Hair Loss Remedy

Feb 09, 2023

Want healthier hair naturally? Here is my favourite essential oil remedy for thicker hair the prevents hair loss and hair fall. It contains essential oils that stimulate and moisturize the scalp.

Winter is a very dry season, your hair starts to become dry and brittle, so it falls out and becomes thin. This hair oil is the perfect thing to combat the dryness of winter.

Start by choosing a carrier oil. I like to use jojoba oil, but you can use aragon oil, castor oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil. Experiment and see which oil works best with your scalp.

Next, add some essential oils that stimulate the scalp. Some of my favourites are:

- Peppermint. Peppermint is a wonderful stimulant for the scalp, it helps treat dandruff, and reduces inflammation.

- Grapefruit. Grapefruit is also a great stimulant, and smells really good as well.

- Lavender. Lavender has many benefits, it treats dandruff and moisturizes the scalp. It has also been proven to increase the number of hair follicles, wh...

Feb 04, 2023

Cloves have multiple uses, from adding flavour to providing relief for toothaches! They have amazing health benefits. They are anti-fungal, antiviral, antiseptic, and anti-microbial.

They have been used medicinally in Ayurveda and have also been used to preserve foods and add flavour. What's more, they are analgesic and carminative, so they are a wonderful way to keep the digestive tract healthy. I love to use them in my chai every morning because they are so good for digestion.

Cloves can also be used as a remedy for toothaches. You can hold a clove or apply clove oil on the place where you are having tooth pain.

Jan 18, 2023

In this easy to make chai recipe I share my favourite herbs to add to your chai. Did you know that all these herbs are carminatives? This means they aid in digestion and keeping the digestive tract healthy. Enjoying a cup of chai in the morning is one of my favourite rituals and it's a great way to wake up your digestive system! So try out this authentic chai recipe to start your morning right.

To make the chai, fill up a cup over halfway with water, and then add milk on top. Pour the mixture into a pot. In a mortar and pestle, crush up some black pepper, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon. Throw the crushed herbs into the pot with the mixture. Add a pinch of dried holy basil, and then some fresh ginger. Turn on the stove, and when the chai is about to boil, add some black tea. Turn the stove down and then back up to a boil. Repeat this several times. Once it is done, strain it and drink it.

Best Natural Remedy for Coughs

Jan 05, 2022

Elderberry is one of the most commonly used medicinal plants in the world.

A lot of people love it because it's full of antioxidants and vitamin C. It's probably what makes it so good at helping to ward off colds and flu and viruses. Based on vitro studies, an elderberry extract can destroy up to ten different strains of the flu virus.

In ancient days, the whole tree was viewed as a medicine chest in itself and the leaves were used a lot for sprains and bruises.

Meanwhile, an elderflower was used for chest infections and any kind of infections.

In general, plants grow where they are needed.

Elderberry actually grows all across North America so it's a wonderful staple. It's something I always keep on hand in my medicine chest either the dried berries. I'm constantly making elderberry syrup and making sure I have it in the fridge at all times

I made a vlog on elderberry syrup as this is one of my favourite remedies of all time.

It’s a great way to protect yourself from cold...
